Pop-Up Blockers and CE6 for Online Courses at PSU
Pop-up blocking programs must be disabled when you’re working in Blackboard. They interfere with important Blackboard tools like Mail, Discussion, and Quiz.
If you’ve installed a pop-up blocker on your PC, locate the program on your hard drive and follow the vendor’s instructions for disabling it.
If you don’t know what’s on your Windows PC, open My Computer, double-click on the Hard Drive, and double-click on Program Files. Scan the list of programs for ones that say “pop-up” in the title. Disable or uninstall them.
There also may be pop-up blocking tools bundled with browsers and the software that comes bundled from your service provider. If you’ve removed stand-alone pop-up blockers but still can’t open a link in a Blackboard course, make sure that any pop-up blockers in your browser have been turned off. Use the browser’s Help menu for assistance.
